Tula Hats was started in 1990 and is a woman owned family business located in Austin, Texas. They are a member of the Fair Trade Federation and have been providing shade one hat at a time for over 20 years.

Tula Hats are made by artisan families along Lake Patzcuaro in Michoacán Mexico. This Purepecha community has been producing palm hats for over four centuries. They are proud to have worked with the same families for over 30 years. Together they're committed to keeping this ancestral tradition of hat making alive.
